- The High School "Grigore Moisil" from Bucharest, technically supported by CSET, presented a project at the Forum of the Innovative Teachers, Zagreb, Croatia, 6-8 martie 2008
- The visibility of the activities coordinated by the Center for science Education and Training - CSET:
- The Optical Society of America - OSA donated to CSET an educational kit aimed to the study of optics (Optics Suitcase)
- Vernier International Inc. donated sensors to be used in the experiments and demo sessions for the secondary school
- CSET received from AMSTEL Science and Mathematics Education Institute of the University of Amsterdam, Holland a kit for data acquisition to be used for the teachers training, both from primary and secondary school.
- The International Society SPIE ofered to the Center for Science Education and Training a grant dedicated to the acquisition of the needed equipment for teachers training in the field of optics and photonics

- Ocean Optics Company with the assistance of Compact Industrial from Romania, donated to CSET an educational kit in the field of spectrometry, which will help the teachers training courses and the demo sessions in schools.
- The team made by The Holly Cross School din New Malden, Surrey, Great Britain (Lawrence Williams and Vincent McDonnell), CSET (Dan Sporea) and the High School "Grigore Moisil" from Bucharest (Mihaela Garabet and Ion Neacsu) received a Prize for Science at the contest organized by the Britain Rolls-Royce Company, for the outstanding contribution to science teaching at the preuniversity level
